These are the terms and conditions for use of the web site of Future London (a trading name of Visit London Limited, Company Number 00761149). Contact details appear at the end of these Terms.

  1. Use of Web Site on These Conditions

    All use of the web site www.futurelondon.co.uk ("the Site") is on the terms and conditions below.

    If you do not agree to these conditions cease use of the Site immediately.

    You may print and keep a copy of these terms. They are a legal agreement between us and can only be modified with our consent. We reserve the right to change the terms at our discretion by changing them on the Site.

  2. Accuracy of Information

    Future London ("we") do our best to ensure all information on the Site is accurate.

    If you find any inaccurate information on the Site let us know and we will correct it, where we agree, as soon as practicable.

    You should independently verify any information before relying upon it.

    We make no representations that information is accurate and up to date or complete and accept no liability for any loss or damage caused by inaccurate information. This Site gives a large amount of data and there will inevitably be errors in it, particularly because dates and times of events change and cancellations occur. You are advised to check directly with the organisers of the event concerned before making any arrangements.

  3. Our Liability

    We provide information on this Site free of any access charge and on the basis of no liability for the information given.

    In no event shall we be liable to you for any direct or indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or good will arising from your use of the Site or information on the Site. All terms implied by law are excluded, except that we accept liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and responsibility for fraudulent misrepresentation that cannot, under English law, be excluded.

    We are a distributor (and not a publisher) of content supplied by third parties and users of the Site. Any opinions, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties, including information providers, or users, are those of the authors or distributors and not of us. We do not necessarily endorse nor are we responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any opinion, advice or statement made on the Site.

  4. Barring From the Site

    We reserve the right to bar users from the Site on a permanent or temporary basis at our discretion. Any such user shall be notified and must not then attempt to use the Site under any other name or through any other user.

  5. Legal Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

    English law shall apply to these terms, notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under, or in connection with these Terms and for those purposes irrevocably submit all disputes to the jurisdiction of the English courts. The place of performance shall be England.

  6. General

    Any formal legal notices should be sent to us at the address at the end of these Terms by email confirmed by post.

    Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right.

    You may not assign or transfer your rights under this agreement.

Visit London is committed to protecting the privacy of those using our Site and the confidentiality of the personal information with which our users provide us on the Site.

Visit Unlimited is the data controller of your data submitted on this Site. We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and comply with Act in all our dealings with your personal data.

Your personal information is safe with us.

Visit Unlimited will never sell your personal information without your consent to third parties unrelated to it.

Links to third party sites appear on the Site. Those third party sites are not our responsibility, although we choose them with care. You should read and satisfy yourself with those third parties' privacy policies before using such linked sites.

Cookies

Message given to a web browser by a web server. The message is then stored by the browser. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, this message is sent back. A cookie's main objective is to identify users and personalise their visit by customising web pages for them, for example by welcoming them by name next time they visit the same site.

Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

  1. All entrants must be over 16 years of age.
  2. Entry into the prize draw is free and no purchase is necessary.
  3. Employees, ex-employees (and their families) of Future London, London Unlimited, Visit London Limited and all agencies connected to this contest are not eligible to enter.
  4. The closing date for this prize draw is 1st October 2006.
  5. The prize is:
          1. a bike of their choice up to the value of £500
          2. 10 runner up prizes of 1 monthly oyster card (zones 1-6)
  6. The decision of the London Unlimited will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  8. One entry per registered person.
  9. Entry costs (where applicable) are as advertised. Entrants are liable for their costs to access telephone, mobile or computer networks.
  10. Unless otherwise stated, entries must arrive by the published closing date for the prize draw. Entries received after this time will be disqualified. Future London may, at its discretion, extend the closing date without prior notice.
  11. Except where it is expressly stated that the winner will be the first correct entry or entries drawn at random from the total entries submitted. Other prizes will be awarded in accordance with the order of priority stated with the competition.
  12. Future London reserves the right to change the rules or void the competition at any time.
  13. In the event of a printing or broadcast error (obvious or otherwise) which affects the competition in any way, Future London reserves the right to administer the competition as though the error had not occurred having informed the entrants, through the original media, of the original text.
  14. Winner(s) of prizes will be announced on Future London's websites and/or notified within seven days after the winner(s) have been ascertained. Names of winners and results competitions will be available on request, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope.
  15. Prize is as stated and unless specifically stated, there is no cash alternative in any circumstances whatsoever to the prizes offered. Prizes are not transferable unless otherwise stated. If for any reason an advertised prize is unavailable Future London reserves the right at its absolute discretion to substitute a similar prize of equivalent or greater value. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Please allow 28 days for delivery of all prizes.
  16. In some competitions, entry may be restricted to entrants of eighteen years and over. However, where there is no age limit or other restriction of entrants in Future London competitions, in accordance with Rule 17, Visit London will not offer an alternative prize to any winner (such as a minor) who for any reason whatsoever is prevented from receiving or making use of the prize offered. Entrants under the age of 18 should seek permission from the account holder before making an entry via website, phone or mobile phone and must have permission from the parent or guardian.
  17. If the winner of a competition is unable to take up a prize for any reason Future London reserves the right to award it to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen will not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever.
  18. If the winner(s) of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts having been made, Future London may dispose of the prize as it thinks fit without any liability to the winner(s) for having done so.
  19. All winners are required to co-operate with Future London to publicise their win as Future London deems appropriate.
  20. Failure to comply with any of these rules will disqualify an entry from taking part in the competition. Visit London reserves the right to disqualify any entry at its absolute discretion.
  21. Future London's decision is final in all matters concerning a competition. It is a condition of entry to the competition that the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and in particular that the decisions of Future London and judges on any matter whatsoever arising out of or connected with the competition are final.
  22. Where prizes are to be provided by a third party then the winner(s) will be required to complete all appropriate or applicable booking or other formalities direct with such provider. Visit London will have no responsibility for the acts or defaults of any other persons.
  23. The personal details supplied by entrants will only be used for the purpose of the competition entered unless entrants indicate otherwise upon entering the competition.
  24. The prize is not in conjunction with any other offers.
  25. No purchase is necessary.
  26. Employees of any agency that is connected with the promotion or members of their immediate families are not permitted to enter the promotion.
